Mayoress of Zooville

Mom stopped by last night (before the handball game started; which Sweden lost to Croatia) for some blodpudding with a side dish made of lingonberry, red cabbage and Turkish yogurt.

On Sunday, January 11, 2009 I mentioned a possible move for my mother's kitty cat Astrid, a trial period move that actually happened last night; food, litterbox and all.

She spent some time under my big corner sofa, but after a while she started exploring the apt and finally she placed herself in the bed.. Progress!

So there are currently 4 female four-legged animals living in my 1 room apartment (Edina & Patsy; the rats, Zelda; the dog and the new addition Astrid; the leopard kitty).

NOTE! A 1 bedroom apt in New York has an actual bedroom AND another room; the livingroom. A 1 bedroom in Sweden is simply a larger sized room (like a NYC "studio"). My apt has a teeny tiny pink decorated kitchen, a large room with an sleeping alcove; closed off by sheer draperies, a bathroom with bathtub, a hall where you enter the apt (not as common in an NYC apt, pretty much non-existing), a huge walk-in closet and a large terrace. I'm on the first floor by the way. Can't wait for spring and summer when I can start putting out plants and fix up the outdoor space!

Furniture query (möbel efterlysning)..Jag letar ett smalt och högt vitrinskåp som kan stå på golvet. Glasväggar med glasdörr och spegel på väggen som ska stå mot väggen. Gärna redan isatt belysning.
